The Old Library at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris (The Irish College built 1772 -1775) holds a collection of historical manuscripts with 3 illuminated manuscripts presented inside a site-specific HAHN table case ensemble. The case design includes timber bases and lids, equipped with HAHN RK-2 active climate control system and LED illumination to safeguard the delicate books dating back to 1470 - 1500. Two were created in Bruges: The Book of Hours of Notre-Dame and The Flemish Psalter. The third manuscript was produced in London, tracing the genealogy of the kings of England, from Adam and Eve to Richard III.
More about the illuminated manuscripts and about 50 manuscripts of courses taught in the English Seminary and Scottish College can be viewed digitalized at the website of the Centre Culturel Irlandais: www.centreculturelirlandais.com
