Jubilee of 25 years and safeguarding the museum located above the historical building with arcades of the 18th century
This unique Museum devoted to toys and dolls is located on the 1st floor of a historical
building ensemble in Hanau Wilhelmsbad in Hesse. It has undergone a major programme of
refurbishment during 2008 and 2009. In its 25th year, the Museum not only celebrated its
silver jubilee, but also installed a new floor on top of the run down ceiling of the hall dating
back to the 18th century.

GLASBAU HAHN enabled the institution to renovate all their display cases and to adapt the
existing casework to the new floor conditions. Individual new display cases were built to
perfectly match the existing ones. The result is a new Museum in a historical setting in
apparently ageless display cases.

Dr. Maren Raetzer-Heerwagen, the Director of the “Dolls’ Museum”, is extremely satisfied with the case design and claims that “in spite of standing in a slanted position over many weeks, the
display cases perfectly survived all of the stress and vibrations during the building phase. We
are very fortunate to be owners of such high quality caseworks, and we are already raising
funds to buy the next display cases from GLASBAU HAHN”.
