HAHN-Louvre Windows can be used
wherever optimal adjustable ventilation is required, together with an elegant
aesthetic appearance and a high degree of weather-protection once closed.
Typical examples are buildings for industry, sports, kitchens, stairways,
conservatories and so on.
Since the glass louvres can be opened to more than 90°, they are ideally
suited for heat and smoke exhausts, in combination with respective remote
controls. The modern use of glass in architecture with double-facades for
energy saving and sound control require extensive adjustable ventilation
to control the flow of air in-between, another ideal application of HAHN-Louvre
Windows.

 |
HAHN-Louvre Windows are
made from galvanised steel, Zinc-plated and with a powder-coat finish.
As an alternative the louvres can be made out of silver anodised aluminium.(Aluminium
colour or in any desired RAL colour as an option). The middle rib of
the channel-profile, together with specially formed glazing clips,
provide good air tightness for windows of this kind (many patents).
The windows can be equipped with left or right hand control. The handle
is combined with a self-adjusting spring to provide locking in the
closed position. Special handles can be supplied as an alternative,
to allow an easy combination with all kinds of remote control.

The glass blades should
be 5-7 mm thick, made out of float glass or any suitable structural
glass, for instance ornament glass No. 504. The glass blades must
be 152 mm in height, with all exposed edges polished. In addition,
decorative effects may be achieved by using louvres made out aluminium,
wood, plastic and so on. The control - and idle sides of HAHN-Louvre
Windows are made in the following standard heights (= clear opening
height)

Maintenance |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Due to high quality materials
and components, HAHNLouvre Windows are practically free of maintenance
requirements. Naturally the glass and the frames should be cleaned
at regular intervals and the bearings lubricated from time to time
to ensure perfect operation and a long life.
