Light source

Our light sources are developed and optimised to focus the light into the fiber-optic harness. Different light sources and transformers for lamps of 35 to 150 watts ensure a flexible system, which can be adapted to meet the many demands of existing structural features and specific lighting requirements. Controlled heat dissipation and complex safeguards allow installation even in delicate areas. Different filters can be fitted when required, e.g. UV-, IR- and color filters. We provide optional accessories, such as motor driven colored shutters, for dramatic or non-static illumination.

 
   

Fibre optic harness

The fibre optic harness is adjusted to meet individual requirements.
The fibre-strands within a harness may be of different lengths and diameters. Lengths of up to 20 meters can be spanned. The fibres are usually encased in a protective sheath which is free from PVC and, in case of fire, is self-extinguishing. The high quality of our fibre-optic looms along with the optical polish to the fibre ends guarantees a high light transmission even over long distances.

The most important advantages of the glass fibres are:
The light emitted is practically free of ultra-violet and infra-red radiation.
The glass fibre bundles are free of electrical radiation and can therefore be used within data trunking as well as in the field of fire protection.
Glass fibre is water resistant, even in hostile conditions.
Glass fibres do not age and can withstand higher temperatures than plastic fibres.

 
   

Light fittings


We have developed appropriate integrated and discrete systems to match the various applications, such as display case lighting, object or underwater lighting.
The angle of light emission from an unlensed fiber-optic tip is 60°. For directional lighting spot lamp fittings are used, which allow adjustment and focussing of the light beam. The light fittings, which are made completely of glass and metal, can be supplied as fixed or adjustable variants. Custom fittings on request.
