|
Protector is a display case that is particularly suitable for paintings. The shallow glass-fronted case provides a hermetically sealed microclimate, as well as protecting against physical damage. The front is glazed with a highly transparent safety glass that incorporates an ultraviolet filter and anti-reflective coating. The anodised aluminium framework is rigid but lightweight. The back, an aluminium-faced insulated foam panel, protects against the effects of cold spots on the wall. Independent tests have shown that no condensation appears inside the case, even with large temperature variations. The individually adjustable fixing system allows tension-free suspension of artefacts. The latest development is the option of constant climate control via humidity and temperature sensors concealed within the side frame.
